​For the last 12 years, Amy Harink (Owner) has worked within the health field. In 2014 she completed her education as a registered care aide. Over the years, Amy continued taking more professional training courses to increase her knowledge in the field.
Amy worked as a direct-line caregiver, then managed residential homes, worked in social services and helped people within the community. She realized, as many others have also experienced, a significant gap within the health system. She noticed there were many vulnerable community members without the support they needed and a lack of direction on how to get help. As a caregiver by nature and profession, she had the privilege of working with seniors and persons with disabilities. She witnessed their struggles and triumphs, their laughter and tears. It became abundantly clear to her that while our health care system provided essential medical care, it often fell short in addressing the holistic needs of the person it served.
She has listened to community members say they longed for compassionate care that went beyond medical treatments. They wanted emotional support, companionship, guidance, compassion, independence and wanted to be within the comfort of their own home while receiving assistance as needed.
